Slow Cooker Orange Chicken

A healthier take on the traditional deep-fried version. This recipe is packed full of zest, stickiness, and sweetness which combine into a savoury flavour. Perfect for pairing with rice or your favourite vegetable, as well as a great addition to any stir-fry.

Servings: 3 – 4



Chicken Thighs

3lbs., small, boneless & skinless


⅓ cup

Orange Marmalade

1 cup

BBQ Sauce

1 cup

Soy Sauce

⅓ cup


3 tbsps.

Garlic Powder

½ tsp.


½ tsp.

Green Onions

¼ cup, chopped

Sesame Seeds

4 tbsps.


1.     Toss chicken with flour in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients; toss to coat.

2.     Transfer to slow cooker; cover with lid.

3.     Cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours (or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours). Remove chicken from slow cooker and cut into desired pieces. Add pieces back into the crock-pot and cook with the lid off for another 20 minutes.

4.     Serve with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
